Hi,

I am using a radeditor on my page . I have a list of values in the "Insert Code snippet" .
The problem is when I try to click on the arrow of the "Insert Code snippet" , it inserts the code snippet at the beginning of the editor ,irrespective of where my cursor is located at .

I am placing my cursor in the middle of the text ,but it ends up inserting the code snippet right at the beginning instead of where the cursor is at.
I have a video of the action ,but cannot attach an avi type of file .

Thanks in advanace,

Swapna

Hi Swapna,

I tried to reproduce the reported behavior but to no avail. Could you please provide more detailed information on the subject?
  • Which version of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX and .NET Framework versions are used in the application?
  • Under which browser and its version the problem occurs?
  • Are you able to reproduce the problem on the Live Demos? If so, could you please provide the exact steps that need to be executed in order to reproduce the problem?
  • Could you please provide sample project reproducing the problem so we can investigate it further?

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Dobromir

Hello Dobromir,

Thank you for your reply.
These are the versions we are using :

Radcontrols version :2009.3.1208.35
.NET framework version :3.5 SP1
AJAX.NET extensions ( the same that come as default with the above .NET framework)

We are using Internet Explorer 8.0
I have not tried the live demos, can you please send me a link  to those.
I cannot paste any sample code as its proprietary ,but I can send a video of the action when it happens , but for that I will have to email it to someone as I cannot upload .avi type of files.

Thanks,
Swapna

Hi Swapna,

Thank you for the provided information but I am still unable to reproduce the problem on my side. You can use Jing to

You can find the Live Demos of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX in the following link: Live Demos. Also, you can use Jing to publish the video demonstrating the issue and post the link to this thread.

Hello Swapna,

Did you have a chance to test the latest official version of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX Q2 2010 (v.2010.2.713)? Were you able to replicate the problem in the live demos of RadEditor?

Could you please, test it and if the problem still persists, please open a support ticket and send a sample working project that demonstrates this odd problem?

Sincerely yours,
Rumen
