Hi,

I have WCF based web-service and Silverlight 3 client that uses it. RadComression docs says that
it has support only for the following content types: application/x-www-form-urlencoded, application/json, application/xml,
application/atom+xml but my web-service produces "text/xml" content type by default. Is there any chance to
configure RadCompression for text/xml content type support or maybe any other solution to solve this problem?

Thanks.

Hello Shumskikh,

Unfortunately RadCompression currently does not support compressing the content type in question. However I will pass this as a feature suggestion to our development department for further consideration. Therefore if it appears to be a common request and attainable enhancement, you may see it included in a future version of the product.

All the best,

Hi Jason,

I'm afraid, that we do not have immediate plans to add such functionality to our compression module. It is in our product backlog, but with a low priority as it does not seems to be commonly requested feature. Therefore, it may appear in some future version of the product but I'm afraid that we cannot commit to an exact timeframe in which this may happen.

Kind regards,
