Hi,

I have a weird problem on IE 7 (works on firefox 3.5)
There is a Combo box with 2 line  drop down items. The first time i click on the drop down, the items overlap. It looks like the Combo box  does not know that its got multiline items. The next time i click i get all the items without the overlapping.

TIA

Hi,

I was not able to open the image file.

You can open a support ticket or paste here the relevant code and CSS.

Hi all,

I am experiencing the same problem on some workstations where my Telerik web app is used - but not all. It has not appeared on my dev machine. I was planning to open a new ticket but we might as well go on with this one. I can provide a screen capture but I do not see how to attach one to this post.

I got around the problem by getting rid of AJAX ( there was a deadline, the client didnt want to see the garbled text). The dropdown was wrapped in the UpdatePanel. Once  i removed the updatepanel things worked better.
And the reason why i didnt upload an attachment is because i dont know how to. :) i have not seen an option to upload attachments.

I too am using ajax in this case. However I am using a RAD ajax manager rather than an update panel... I am testing now to see if removal of ajax from the page changes my results.

I have confirmed that removing ajax from my page also cures the problem of overlapping text in the combo box. In may case, using an ajax manager, any reference  to the rad grid that contained the combo box as an "UpdatedControl" causes the rendering problem; removing all references also removes the problem.

I'm going to open a proper support ticket for this now.

I'm wondering if this problem has been resolved.  It has just popped up for me recently.  The scenario seems to be the same in that my combobox is inside an updatepanel and the values overlap.

This may not be the reason that others have had this problem but I recently found that I had some version mis-match of skins and other Telerik assemblies, probably due to some confusion introduced during migration from one Telerik release to another. When I straightened that out and got everything absolutely for certain on the same version the problem seemed to clear itself up.

Thanks Chris.  I'll check out my skins.

Hey Chris, turns out, the outdated skins were still assigned and when they were removed, it fixed the overlapping problem.

Thanks!

Hi,

I've a new variation of this issue here with me.
Attached are the two snapshots for WebCombo with Wrapped content as shown in IE and Firefox.
In IE, the overlapping is fine with theDefault Skin, but it is disturbed in Firefox.

Any ideas or do we still need to try out different skins to see if it works in any one?
(I've the option to use 'Default' or 'Telerik' skin only due to customer's styleguide specifications!)

Hi,

Incase it helps, I've had a similar issue where the skins just suddenely stopped working.

We run our site at numerous NHS trusts, and out of the blue, one site just stopped displaying any skins. We found the issue was with using the CDN. Maybe the trust had updated their security patches or settings, but by turning off the CDN, everything was fine again.

Cheers,
Kushel.
