Hi,

So I have two questions:

The first one is concerning the RadCalendar in my windows phone project. I currently have a
Xamarin Forms project implementing the Telerik radcalendar. The calendar is working fine in
the Android and Windows 8.1 project.

I followed the steps from http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/xamarin/controls/calendar/calendar-getting-started,
added all the references and changed the Mainpage.xaml.cs file. However after that I get the following error:
"Cannot find type System.Windows.Controls.ItemsControl in module System.Windows.dll.". I'm not sure if this is
connected to implementing the RadCalender, but the error only shows up after adding the references.

My second question is regarding Xamarin Forms UWP support. Are there any plans in the future for supporting
the Telerik RadCalendar for UWP projects?

Regards,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thank you for contacting us.

We have not yet updated our documentation with getting started instructions for Windows 8.1 projects. The Windows Phone information is related to Windows Phone 8 Silverlight projects. We will soon update the information and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Here are the references that you have to add to your Windows Phone 8.1 project:

Binaries\XamarinForms\Common
  • Telerik.XamarinForms.Common.dll
  • Telerik.XamarinForms.Input.dll
Binaries\XamarinForms\WinRT
  • Telerik.XamarinForms.Common.WinRT.dll
Binaries\XamarinForms\WinRT\WinPhone
  • Telerik.XamarinForms.InputRenderer.WinRT.WindowsPhone.dll
Binaries\WinRT\Common
  • Telerik.Core.dll
Binaries\WinRT\Windows 8.1
  • Telerik.UI.Xaml.Input.dll
  • Telerik.UI.Xaml.Primitives.dll

I have also attached a sample.

As for UWP, we will provide support shortly after Xamarin supports it officially, most likely between Q2 and Q3 this year.

I hope this helps. Please, let us know if you have any other issues.
