Hi,

I have installed the Q2 Beta 2 bits and I'm experiencing a very similar issue to Nigel here: http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/windows-phone/loopinglist/limited-to-five-items.aspx

I have IsLoopingEnabled="True" and Orientation="Horizontal" (thanks for that! :))

The LoopingList only shows the first 5 items from the LoopingListDataSource which contains 9 items.

Cheers

Hi,

For me if IsLoopingEnabled="true" and I set my base datasource to 13 it loads 13 and loops correctly.

If I change the IsLoopingEnabled="false" and don't change anything else, it only loads the first 5 items.

Thanks

Played around more with this today and it looks like the # of items that is displayed is dependent upon the item height. For example if I have an Item height of 76 with spacing of 10, it will only show 9 items.

If i bump them item height down to 46 for example, it shows 11 items.. Making the item height even lower, shows the 13 items I need, but then gets confused with the scrolling and stops really working.

Hope this helps.

Hi Matt,

That seems to fit in with my experiments, although I was adjusting the width of the LoopingPanel not the item width. I've not done enough to work out the correlation yet but it defiantly looks like its down to how many items, displayed or not, can fit in the loopingpanel.

Hi Simon,

Indeed, there is an issue in RadLoopingList which prevents it from displaying all items from the source when the IsLoopingEnabled property is set to false. Since we had higher priority tasks planned for Q2 Beta 2, we decided to postpone fixing this issue for the official Q2 2011 release of RadControls for Windows Phone 7.

In general, RadLoopingList creates as many visual items, as its needed to fill the viewport. Filling the viewport depends on the size of the items and the item spacing so adjusting these properties may change the amount of initially created items.
