When I get a push message if the app is not in foreground an event is shown in the notification bar on android. Which is fine and what you would expect.
But when I tap this notification the app seems to start as I can see logs in graphite but no UI is shown. It seems that the app is started in the bacground somehow. Is there anything I need to considere when using the push plugin?

Cheers,
Christoph

Hi Christoph,

There are multiple issues reported to the Push Plugin github issue tracker that mention foreground problems. If you believe the problem you've encountered is not yet reported there, please open a new issue in the plugin issue page.

Hi Steve,

thanks for that links. Going over the issues (actually closed ones) I can see the following: https://github.com/phonegap-build/PushPlugin/pull/69

That describes exactly my problem but it seems in the version 1.3.3 it is not fixed yet (and also not in the 1.3.4). Looks like I need to use a custom plugin..

Cheers,
Christoph

Hello Christoph,

We would be updating to Push Plugin v.1.3.4 in our mid December release of Icenium, however it seems you're right, the fix is not included in it. What you can do is download the latest version of the plugin from the repo as zip and import it in Icenium as custom plugin (not sure if that is what you meant). Don't forget to disable the built in plugin from the project properties. This way you would have the latest bits.
