I have an existing project that I have previously submitted to the app store many times on both iOS and Android.

Yesterday I made some bug fixes and attempted to submit it to both stores.

After the Android version was available, I installed it and noticed that it appeared to be configured for our QA environment - despite having used the Publish for App Stores feature.

Upon investigation and several rebuilds, I have determined all the Android builds were being produced with debug config settings (I even unpackaged the apk and noticed that the wrong config file was present).

I am using the environment config files (ie config.js has config.debug.js and config.release.js) and up until this point, this has always worked and included the correct settings in the output.

I reviewed my iOS app and the unpackaged .app file and this had the same issue.

The simulator also has the same issue in some instances - selection of the Release config does not always use the release settings.

I am on the latest app builder and am using the VS extension.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hello Brandon,

I am copying the reply from the support thread you opened for others to see:

Thank you for reporting this issue. We are aware of it and the development team is working on a fix
The fix is expected by the end of the week.

Until the fix is released, you can select the desired build configuration, before building, from the Visual Studio drop-down menu next to the Simulator button. See this screenshot for reference.
