    Hi guys,

I'm currently using the trial version of the radcontrols software on visual studio express 2012. I am trying to complete the getting started section (i.e the memories app) but run into trouble when trying to use my own api key. I have created an app with everlive but when using my own api key i get error registering (registration failed) and when logging in the same. I've tried creating a user on the everlive app and bypassing the registration process on the phone but no such luck. This only occurs using my own api key. The one already entered on the source code for the completed application works fine for logging in and registering. Could anybody enlighten me on what the problem is?
This also happens on the Friends sample where i get a "the account quota is limited for this operation" error

    Thanks

    Hello David,

    Thanks for writing.

Until a couple of weeks ago Everlive was in Beta version, i.e. was not officially released. Now, with the official release, all accounts that existed before were entitled to Enterprise access for a month. After this the account becomes a Developer Account which is not entitled to HTTPS access. Since by default our Cloud Controls use HTTPS, they will stop working when this happens.

I would like to inform you that we are aware of this and are working on extending the API so that you will be able to turn HTTPS on or off according to your scenario. We will release an Internal Build containing this change by the end of this week so you will be able to download it and check it out. In this version HTTPS will be turned off by default so you will not need to change your code - it should be working out-of-the-box.

Let me know should you have additional questions.

Thanks for the reply! That's great news, i look forward to this release and to testing out the functionality. Where will i be able to access this update? I assumed that the https was the issue given that enterprise accounts are the only ones with access to this and even tried a few things like setting UseHttps = False in EverliveAppSettings, so thanks for clearing that up.

    Hello David,

You will be able to access the Internal Build when you go to the RadControls for Windows Phone 8 downloads page and choose the All Product Downloads option.

Let us know should you have further questions.
