The following problem occurs in OpenAccess version 4.3, if we use Oracle with the odp-driver. We get the compiler error
"OpenAccess.RT.Adonet2Generic.Impl.DBDriverException: Database driver installation problem: Cannot use factory for odp."

ODP.NET is installed in the GAC (Oracle.DataAccess.dll and the policy-dlls, version 2.112.2.0).

Hi Hans-Georg,
Did you install the right version? If your app runs in 64 bit mode you need the 64 bit odp driver, if your app is marked as or started in 32 bit mode you have to install the 32 bit driver.

Yes, we have installed the right version (32-bit, Windows 7) and there is no problem, if we use Oracle.DataAccess.dll directly outside of OpenAccess.

Hello Hans-Georg,
I see no chance to change the behavior in such an old version. Even to analyse the error is hard because this is pre-telerik version and we have changed the ado driver layer a lot. Can you move to an actual OpenAccess release?
