I have a sheet of labels that has 2 labels across and 4 labels down the page. When I try to create the label, I select the correct label size from the selection of labels. When I try to preview the labels, they are all printing down the page and ignoring the second column of labels.

How can I make it print on both columns of labels, instead of only the first column?

Hello Philip,

We are not sure we understand your inquiry. Do you want to use multicolumns in the Web Report Viewer? If this is the case then  as noted in the Creating Multi-Column Reports help article - HTML supports one-column reports only. Multi-column report used in subreport item would be rendered as one-column report as well.

However if you use the Silverlight/Windows forms Report Viewer or export/print in a page oriented format (PDF, XPS, RTF) you would be able to see the report as multi-column.

Hello,

I need to create a label report for printing out barcode labels for dispatch. I have succesfuly created the label and am able to print it from a Zebra label printer using 75x33 mm lables. But one issue i am facing is that every time i print a label (usually i have one label per report) it prints one label and then prints out 3 empty lables from the printer. i have already set the column count to 1 and figured out that the it rolls out empty lables because the report has three more empty lables generated in first column after the label with data. Is there a way to set the row count to 1 in case i have only one label like setting the column count.?

Appreciate your support.
Best Regards

Hi Manu, Can you tell me if you ever found a solution to this? I am also using a Zebra printer with 3" x 1" labels. Thanks for sharing.

Hi,

Please test the Label Wizard available in the latest Telerik Reporting versions (recommended for use Q3 2015 v9.2.15.930). With changes introduced in the last year printing to Zebra printers should result in properly printed labels.

@Stef, I have 2015 Q3 but still do not see an option for a continuous feed 3"x1" type label. I am able to make it somewhat work by creating a report that is Portrait, no margins and 3" wide by 1" length. The issue I have is that when rendering the label, the position of the Textboxes are moving around and they sometimes push other textboxes off of the label causing either the text to print outside the actual label or forcing another label to print just the one textbox that was pushed off. I need to be able to firmly position the textboxes and not have them "float" when printing. I tried a ton of iterations of Can Shrink, Can Grow, etc but it's like playing whack a mole. Is there any way to make the textbox position "Absolute"?

Hi AkAlan,

TextBox items grow to accommodate their content and other items may be pushed if an item needs to grow - Design Considerations for Report Item Layout. Test to set the TextBox items' CanGrow to false and organize them in Panel items.

Also to check how a single label will look on print, switch to print preview of the report designer or the viewer. This will allow you to preview the result of the used report's PageSettings which determine the physical pages.

Please, note that there is a Label Wizard which can help you organize the content - Label Report Wizard.

I hope this information helps.

Stef
