print to pdf directly

Hi,

After click the print button,no dialog display anymore and directly print to a pdf file. I checked the demo(http://demos.telerik.com/reporting/product-sales/demo.aspx)     it's the same.But the previous version is normal.

Hello Kevin,

The true printing functionality of the Web Report Viewer depends on the Adobe PDF (or Chrome PDF plug-in for Chrome browser). If Adobe or Chrome PDF plug-in is not detected, clicking the print button would export the report to PDF and depending on the browser would either open it directly or ask you to save the PDF file.

The version 5.3.11.24 can open print dialog directly without any plug-in.why the new version canceled this function.It's so unconvinient.

Hi Kevin,

Currently exporting to PDF and printing the document is a much better option than using the browser's default print if no plug-in is available, as the quality of the printed report is much better. Additionally the users are now able to use other plug-ins for printing automatically.

Printing without any plug-ins in the previous versions was equal to using the print of the browser - this option of course is still available in your browser menus. These changes have been noted in the Q3 2011 SP1 release notes and documentation.
