Hi

Is there a way to Print Preview a part (or whole) of the RadBook control?

Thanks
Tariq

Hi Tariq,

Thank you for your interest in RadBook.

Current release do not provide a Print preview functionality. However we like your inquiry and we would like to get more information on about your scenario. Any good thoughts and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Sincerely yours,
Ivan

Hi Ivan

It would be good if you can have something similar to the way we print pages using (Ctrl + P) Printing Options provided by Microsoft OS for any Application.

It would be great if the RadBook control have inbuilt Print, Print Preview and "Export to PDF" buttons which can be activated/hidden away programmatically using RadBook properties.

By Print capability I mean if we can pass on the RadBook object to be printed using the Micorosft's OS printing capabilities in such a way that:
  • In the Print Dialog box, we can control whether we would like to print "All" the pages or a specific range of pages or the current page, along with the other Printing options like:
    • Option to select the number of pages per sheet.
    • Option to select the desired printer.
    • Number of copies.
  • "Print to File / Export to PDF" option, where the book can be exported as a PDF, etc.

Thanks
Tariq

Hi Tariq H,

Thanks for the feedback! With Silverlight 4 you will be able to do what you describe out of the box. You can read more on the printing support in SL4 here:
