I've noticed that if you set PreventCollapse to true, that the control still shows the expand icon. I know you can hide it using CSS, which is what I've done, but I think it would make more sense to hide it when the control is set to not collapse because it's suggesting an action that cannot be performed.
Is there a reason for it not hiding the expand icon or did you guys overlook this issue?
Thanks.

Hello Cori,
Thank you for indicating this to our team!
We are going to consider your suggestion and eventually to log it as a bug and fix it as such.
Hope the solution you already have (to hide it, using CSS), will work for you until the time we release a fix for the problem (some of the up-coming latest internal builds).

A year later and the same issue is still there! Any updates?

Hi Gary,
Please, accept our apologies for the delayed FIX/Improvement on the UX provided by RadPanelBar.
We will try to implement a solution (perhaps not totally hiding, but instead blurring the icon) in time for the Q2 2011 release of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX.

Hi Gary,
We started working on this problem, but there is a scenario that becomes really confusing if we implement the conditional rendering of the expand handle - if the item is not expanded but has PreventCollapse="true".
Since we are not exactly sure how should that be solved, we decided to ask you guys (our customers and people that requested this) for your opinions. Please share your thoughts.
