Hey guys,

Is the following a bug in the current build (Telerik.WebUI.TestStudio.Dev.2010.2.927)?:

[Steps to Reproduce]
1) Open up an instance of IE to any website.
2) With any test project open, click the Record dropdown and select the IE instance from step 1.
3) Click anything on the website.

[Actual Results]
"Recorder client is unable to communicate with the recording host. Possibly the recording host has been closed." error message displays.  This worked in the most recent official release.  The only workaround I know of is to use "Run to here", which is somewhat of a pain.

Hello Gary,

I have just performed the steps you have provided on the like internal build, but was not able to reproduce your error. Using your steps yielded the "clicks" being added as steps to the test I was in.

Could you let me know the following:

  1. Is this happening in all of your projects or one?
  2. Is this happening if you make a new project?
  3. Which version of IE are you running?
  4. It is possible that IE has/had a bad cache of data, does the issue recur if you restart IE and/or delete your browsing history first?

If possible, can you provide your project file in .zip or .rar format for us to review?

To let you know, this is not a known bug for WebUI (neither QA or Dev edition). We will look for your reply with the above.

Sincerely yours,
Keaegan
