Playing back .mpg video files

I have a lot of .mpg files that I need to view. Very impractical to convert to .mp4. Is there a way to view these type of files through MediaPlayer? If not, can you suggest another media player that I can use?

Hello Terry,

Note that the RadMediaPlayer supports only the formats that are listed in the help topic below and the mpg files are not supported.

Hi Maria. Thank you for your help on this. I'm aware of this approach - I've been using this method from back in the classic asp days. I've converted all my applications over to .NET and this approach confines me to using IE Explorer only. I'm looking for something cross-browser. I wish I could get my clients to convert all their videos to mp4 but that is wishful thinking. Are you aware of a commercial approach to this by any chance?

I'm not aware of some specific commercial approach for migrating the files except using some of the free converters that are available in the web. For example:
