    Hi support!

I'm testing Pivotgrid with OLAP (MSAS) on Silverlight. My problem:

    - I have a Sales Cube, and users typically combines dimensions like this: (YEAR -> MONTH -> CUSTOMER NAME -> PRODUCT NAME).My problem is that when users apply such report configuration, telerik's query the cube and download all the information in a single step.

I tried another pivotgrid control from different provider, and using same report configuration on same cube (same server) is more user friendly because it queries while you "expand" every dimension.

Let me explain better. Telerik's pivotgrid queries all data and stores it in memory in 1 single query, while different vendor pivotgrid queries small pieces of data at a a time. For example, when user expand year 2015, then it queries sales for all months within 2015 only. Then when a month is expanded, it queries all customers with sales within that single month, and so on. On the other hand, Telerik's query all sales from all years, months, customers, products in a single query, which takes a lot of time to process and download from server...

My question: is it possible to change how telerik pivotgrid (Silverlight) makes queries to OLAP, so they are "incremental" like explained before?

     Thanks!

    Hi Luis Gilbert,

Indeed the RadPivotGrid queries the database for all groups, filters and aggregates at once. Unfortunately the query cannot be changed depending on the expand/collapse state of a group.

We apologize for the caused inconvenience.
