You've actually encountered an issue caused by the native ScrollViewer
component which Microsoft are aware of but have no plans addressing in the near future. We've had feedback from customers regarding similar issues with the other layouts supported by DataBoundListBox
which are easily reproducible with the standard ListBox
control as well. Fortunately they do not happen that often (the Pinterest demo with the switching direction implements more of a demonstration scenario, not a real-life one).
