Hello,

I have the following questions about the view of imported RTF or DOCX documents inside the editor:

1. Is there a possibility to show page information (current page number) and page separations like in Word?

2. Is there a possibility to show/edit header and footer of documents like in Word? When I tried to import RTF or DOCX files, header and footer got completely lost and were not displayed in the editor.

Thanks,
Felix

Hello Felix,

Thank you for contacting Telerik support.

You can add text as header by using the PageHeader property. As for adding footer or using more complex content, you can interfere with the export output by handling the server-side ExportContent event. The same information can be found in the Export to DOCX and RTF article.

I am afraid the page numbers cannot be added dynamically via this export functionality. There is a feature request (http://feedback.telerik.com/Project/143/Feedback/Details/144236) on the matter, which you can follow to gain updates om the matter.

Hello Ianko,

I think there was a misunderstanding at your side. I want to import(!) RTF or DOCX documents into the editor and not to export these files. Is there a possibility to import(!) header and footer of pages? As I mentioned in my first post: when I tried to import RTF or DOCX files, header and footer got completely lost and were not displayed in the editor.

Regards,
Felix

Hello Felix,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. The importing of headers and footers is again a concept that is not the same as in DOCX and RTF documents and it is a rather custom solution to handle such a situation.

You can manipulate the imported content via the server-side OnImportContent event. Although, you should firstly decide how the headers and footers should look like in an HTML document and alter the RadFlowDocument as per to the needed requirements. Note that in HTML, there is no concept of pages, into which to show header or footer.
