Hi Vinu,

Yes this is a known issue in 2011.1.712. We have been working on this and have made some progress with our latest internal build, 2011.1.829. As long as you're using 2011.1.712 you must login to your computer using an account that is a member of the local administrator group in order for Test Studio to function properly.

I am using the build from 2012 last release and still not working. The user must be an admin to run the program

Hi Hussain,

Yes this is still true and probably will always be true. The technical problem is that anything less than administrator level access will cause Windows to block us from attaching to IE in order to control it for recording or test playback. It thinks this is a security threat when you're not logged in with Administrator level privileges.

Hi Alex,

No there are no changes to this requirement. It is extremely unlikely there will ever be any changes to this requirement in the future. Windows blocks all attempts at connecting and controlling the browser when you are logged in as "normal user". It does this for its own protection against viruses.
