Hi,
In a project I'm working on I need a non-uniform zoom for the PanAndZoomImage control (horizontally fixed whereas vertically 4x). According to the documentation here http://www.telerik.com/help/windows-phone/panandzoomimage-features.html it is possible by setting a Size value to the Zoom property (Size(1, 4) in my scenario). Unfortunately now the Zoom property is Double and I cannot use the non-uniform zoom anymore. Why did you remove that feature? Did it work badly (I've never tried it before working on the current project). Do you plan to reintroduce it in a future release? Is there a workaround?

Thank you in advance for your support, ciao

Hello Giuseppe,

Thanks for the question. We removed the non-uniform zooming with the first release for Windows Phone 8. Users were demanding that the zoom was toward the center of the pinch gesture (for Windows Phone 7 as well). The centering logic turned out somewhat complicated with the non-uniform scaling so we decided to remove it altogether. No developer ever asked for this feature again so we figured no one was using it.

The help will be updated accordingly. Thanks for pointing this omission out.

For now we do not plan reintroduce this behavior, however if more people start requesting it for some reason we will reconsider it.

Please write again if you have other questions.

Regards,
Victor
