I just recently purchased and installed the OpenAccess ORM (version: 2011.1.411.2) tool. I'm trying to use an ODP Oracle driver, but like the subject suggests, I'm unable to choose one when creating a new domain model. The only available driver is the .Net Data Provider for Oracle. I've tried creating the model in both VS2008 and VS2010 and have two versions of the ODP installed in the GAC (v:2.112.2.0 & 1.102.4.0). I'm running a Win7 32 bit box.  I've read multiple forums on the site and all the documentation provided regarding Oracle DBs with no avail.

UPDATE: I've attached a screenshot of what I see when trying to set up the connection. As you can see, there is only one option for data provider, and it is the Microsoft provider not the ODP.NET provider. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 10g and 11g just to make sure everything is registered correctly and it is.

Please help!

Thanks,

Bret

Hi Bret,

The missing ODP from the list of available providers is a known problem which has already been fixed and the fix will be part of the next version.
Please note that in runtime OpenAccess uses entirely and only the ODP, no matter which data provider you used to create the connection string in the Domain Model Wizard. So at the moment you can just use the wizard and the Microsoft's provider to create the model, and ODP will be used at runtime. Please let us know if you experience any problems with this setup.
