No metadata has been registered for class error

I have a project that uses the 2015 Q1 data access since I happen to like the graphical interface.  I just added a new entity model that accesses a different database.  The original code works fine but the new connection will give the error that I have attached below.  It is not consistent and works sometimes but fails other times.  The class is for a regular table and it was created with the rlinq wizard.  None of my web searches gave me an answer.  Anyone fought this problem already?

It was suggested to me that I place the second entity model into a class library and add a reference in the main project.  I did as suggested and I still get the error.

For those who might have the same problem, I have discovered a work around that seems to work fine.

Instead of consuming the model like this:

Using dbcontext = New EntitiesModelDW(connectionString) 

I changed the code to this and it worked:

Dim dbcontext As EntitiesModelDW = New EntitiesModelDW(connectionString)        
Using dbcontext

Go figure.
