Are there any plans to release any additional themes?  I think the existing themes are more "variation of a theme" than "different themes" - the look-and-feel of the application is more or less the same regardless of what theme I select.

In the Task-It webinar with Ross Wozniak he showed a very cool theme for his Task-It application. Dramatically different from all other Telerik Themes, and very cool. Is that theme available for download anywhere?

Gunnar, what Ross has done is basically overwrite lots of styles and create his own (lots of work). However, that is NOT part of Telerik Theme system. Ross's work is more like showing you that you can build your own theme.

Hope this helps!

Yes, I understand that I can create my own theme, and that this is what Ross did.

But my key point is that Ross' theme in my eyes is much cooler than the themes included in the product. I think that the themes included are much alike and very commonplace (boring, if you like...). I think that the product would benefit from having a number of more eye-catching themes as a complement to the ones present right now.

And since it is a lot of work to create a theme and Ross already has done it - why not include it in the product?  (...or at least make it available for download as an add-on...)

Ah trust me Gunnar, I'd love to see that as one of the themes. My post wasn't to object of having it. But I honestly doubt Telerik would do it and maintain it for every version. Themes are a lot of work especially for that many controls. So, I'm with you and you got my vote on that.

I hope the boys at Telerik will have a change of heart! :-)

But I honestly doubt Telerik would do it and maintain it for every version.

It is not too attractive for us to use telerik if the themes need a lot of maintaining for every new version (and we have to do it) ;-)

Joe, I just want to be clear that I don't speak for Telerik. I'm just another user and this is just MY opinion. Please don't make decision based on my opinion. You should certainly confirm that with telerik. Here we're just discussing and brain storming. Just wanted to be clear on that.

Hi all,

Of course we will be working on new themes and such new themes will appear right with the next major release expected in July. I will not share much details on the newly coming themes as we want them to be a surprise for our users, however, I can assure you that we are working on a really eye-candy theme that will allow you to fundamentally customize it with just a few clicks. Stay tuned on our blogs for more details.

Developing new themes has always been a major part of our releases and we will definitely continue to provide more and more new themes. Your feedback is essential for our decisions on what type of themes to work on, therefore we will surely consider how to incorporate the customizations Ross did into our themes.

Greetings,
Nick
