I have to say the support team did come to our aid and sort things (thanks guys) behind the scenes but Telerik have to communicate major changes like this better.

Hello, Markus,
The short answer is "No" - I see that you previously had Icenium Developer Annual subscription and it was upgraded to AppBuilder Professional Annual subscription. To cut the long story short - the difference in price is far less than 6 times, while AppBuilder Professional has more advanced features than Icenium Developer. In addition, you were upgraded for free - we wanted to make sure that you have enough time to evaluate and take advantage of all additional and upcoming features. Gabe Sumner, our Product Marketing Manager, explains it better in this post http://www.telerik.com/forums/i-call-shenanigans!!!#KzxB-11we06JCZuvAFkFHg
We are looking forward to any additional feedback you may have in the upcoming months.
Regards,
Mariya

HI Mariya,
Telerik have got this re-launch or whatever you want to call it wrong.
We're still scratching our heads about the benefits, all we see new is some cloud services we won't be using and Windows phone 8 at some stage.

Dear Mariya
Yes I was wrong. I just clicked on prices and only did see the 79$/month price. Did not see that you could by it for 49$/month
So you are right. The same product cost me only 3 times as much as before :-)
$192 up to $588

Hi Mariya,
As an individual developper I can't afford to pay the annual subscription so i pay on a monthly base. I now have to pay almost 4 times more for the same product (from $19 to $74). I also never understood why there is this huge difference in monthly and yearly payment, it's the same product after all. I have been using Appcelerator before and spent a lot of time learning Icenium but now I seriously consider to go back to Appcelerator. Hope to see some significant changes over the next months that justify these price changes!

Paul.
