I have a question that I hope has  good answer.

We have a lot pages using the radeditor for web parts and it works perfectly.  However, we are currently moving servers.  We have done two test moves and everything moves fine except for the radeditor content.

We moved the sites the first time without installing the web part and deploying the solution and I thought that was the problem, but after that mistake. I wiped that out and then installed the solution and deployed it. We then restored the data to the new site and moved again and it wiped out all our changes

IS there a way we can move this from one server to another without having to redo everything!!

Thanks,
Mike

Bump!

Anyone from Telerik have an answer for this?  Is there a way to move content that was written in the Telerik web part to a new sharepoint site when a server migration has to be done?

Hi Mike ,

Our content web part editor is very similar to the original editor web part, included in WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007. This means that both web parts should store their content in the same way. Please do a test with the original content editor web part and see if its content will be correctly transferred to the new server.

If the out-of-the box editor web part behaves as expected, then perhaps the problem is in our web part configuration. On the old server, did you ever upgrade the RadEditor for MOSS solution with a new version, or is still the original version? If you have upgraded, try deploying the older version on the new server before you migrate the content.

Some of the other web parts we are using is the standard content editor and those web parts worked just fine.   It could be a difference in the two versions. We never upgraded the Radeditor on the current production site.

The current server has version 4.5.3 and the new server has 4.5.4, where can I download the older version to install that on the new server?  How do I uninstall the current version on the new server?  I downloaded the .chm file but it is not working
I would upgrade the current server to the new version, but I do not know what that will do to the current content. Should it just be the same and not cause any problems?

Please do let me know, this is extremely important

UPDATED!!!!!!! BELOW

I found the old version and once again downloaded your CHM file, but it does not work.  I get "address is not valid" in all of the topics

is there an online version on how to uninstall the editor?
