Will the "Out-of-the-box export" capabilities extend into other telerik controls like RadEditor?  For example, we have many user input forms where the user is uploading images into RadEditor and RadEditor is displaying it.  We generate an accompanying print page, but are having trouble making the leap to get the document into Word or PDF.  Will this be something where we will have to convert the existing .aspx print page report into the telerik reporting?  Or will this exporting feature work on the current page we have generated?  Hope that is not too confusing.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Adam,

Currently the report export functionality will be available only in the telerik Reporting. This means that only the telerik reports can be exported to PDF, Excel or Word and initially we will not provide any import from HTML document. The 1st version will render only plain text formatted using the telerik Reporting item styles and won't support rendering of HTML/RTF text in any output format. If your images are not part of a HTML document but are stored as images (image files or in a DB), you can use them in a report. If you wish to use the telerik Reporting, you can consider using the web viewer to display your reports in the browser instead of using the r.a.d.editor and this way you'll give your end users the ability to export the current content to any of the supported format.

Kind regards,
