Good Day,

I've noticed when crating a skin using the visual style builder it does not include the Common Folder for the Loading Images as well as the Ajax Folder and Ajax.*.css file. I have also noticed that the Loading.Gif file is static and does not animate. Are there plans to include this into the Visual Style builder?

There is also an error when colourizing the ImageEditor Control which popups a window saying

"Not found

Hello Dean,

We have fixed all issues apart from the loading.gif one and will deploy them with an upcoming upload. We have logged the loading image problem and will look into it. Your Telerik points have been updated.

I just tried creating a skin with the Style Builder and it is not including the SPELL.xxx.css file needed.  Can we get the Spelling component added?

Hi William,

Each of the controls included in the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX suite is styled with two CSS files that are loaded in a certain order. The first one - ControlName.css, also called base stylesheet contains CSS properties and values that are common for all skins, i.e it is layout-specific, not skin-specific.

Unlike the rest of the controls, RadSpell, however uses only one CSS file – Spell.css. This is so because RadSpell consists of two controls from Telerik AJAX Web UI Suite: RadFormDecorator and RadWidnow. Each one of these controls is styled with two CSS files that are loaded in a certain order.

So, if you want to create a custom spell skin, you should create custom skins for FormDecorator and Window, and that will be enough to have a new custom Spell skin based on the skins specifications applied for the mentioned controls.

In Creating RadSpell Custom Skin tutorial you could find which parts of the Spell controls are skinned by FormDecorator and which by RadWindow.

Rumen ,
See the response to my ticket I submitted on this issue...I think you might have misunderstood the issue.

Thanks

Hi William,

My colleague Bozhidar already answered your ticket on the subject. For reference I copied his response below:

Excuse me for the misunderstanding, but let`s clear what you want to do and what steps you are following to achieve it.

As you are talking about Dialog css file I suppose that it should be Editor dialogs? if this is true, then it is not supposed to have @import reference to the Spell, as it is not part of the Editor dialogs.

This is the full list of imported files for custom editor dialogs:

Copy Code
Create a new CSS file in the /Skins/Vista folder named for example DialogCSS.css and put in it references to the following CSS files:

@import url('../ToolBar.css');
@import url('../FormDecorator.css');
@import url('../TabStrip.css');
@import url('../Editor.css');
@import url('../TreeView.css');
@import url('../Splitter.css');
@import url('../Slider.css');
@import url('../Upload.css');
@import url('../Window.css');
@import url('../Grid.css');
@import url('../Widgets.css');
@import url('../FileExplorer.css');
@import url('../Menu.css');
@import url('../MultiPage.css');
@import url('../ImageEditor.css');
@import url('../Dock.css');

@import url("Ajax.Vista.css");
@import url("ColorPicker.Vista.css");
@import url("ComboBox.Vista.css");
@import url("Editor.Vista.css");
@import url("FormDecorator.Vista.css");
@import url("Grid.Vista.css");
@import url("Menu.Vista.css");
@import url("Slider.Vista.css");
@import url("Splitter.Vista.css");
@import url("TabStrip.Vista.css");
@import url("ToolBar.Vista.css");
@import url("TreeView.Vista.css");
@import url("Upload.Vista.css");
@import url("Window.Vista.css");
@import url("Widgets.Vista.css");
@import url("FileExplorer.Vista.css");
@import url("ImageEditor.Vista.css");
@import url("Dock.Vista.css");

As you could see, any reference to base Spell or skin specific CSS file does not exist. You could fine more info at: Registering External Skin to RadEditor

Second step is to create a custom skin using VSB - it does not generate any custom Spell skin specific file. So in both steps we do not have any references to that Spell file that you mentioned.

Would specify if I describe the right steps to reproduce the issue? If I`m wrong, please provide step by step instruction to reproduce it. If you think that a screenshot would be useful, get some and send it to us.

Any additional information on how to recreate the issue is welcome as well.

All the best,

Any update to the loading.gif issue?  I also noticed that the vertical splitter is not being correctly updated.  It's based on Office2010Silver.  Again the loading.gif is not animated and the vertical splitter still appears as the Office2010Silver splitter when resizing. Thanks!

Hi Brannon,

The Visual Style Builder will be updated in shortly. I could not give you an exact date, but most probably it will be in the next two weeks. Several bugs has been fixed and will be provided with the update.

Hello,

We do not send e-mail notifications when VSB site is updated. But I could let you know that is has been updated and now you could use Metro skin as a base. SocialShare and RibbonBar controls are also included in the project.

Give it a try, and let us know if you find any issues.

Kind regards,
Bozhidar

I'm still experiencing the same issues.  The loading gif is not animated and the splitter vertical bar is not styled appropriately.  Thanks.

Hello,

You could take the loading animated gifs from the embedded resources and put them manually in your project.

As for the splitter, would you be more specific. Which skin was used as a base, can you send us a screenshot showing the issue? As with our tests, RadSplitter custom skin created with Visual Style Builder works as expected.

As this thread is already too big and concerns several other issues, I would ask you to open a support ticket for both issues, where you could attach any helpful files such as projects, screenshots etc.

Greetings,
Bozhidar
