Hi all,

Currently I am creating a proof of concept with the new Telerik WinForms controls. The application interface is a Outlook Look a Like.
For the navigation panel (like the one in Outlook 2007) I'm using the RadPageView Control.

In Outlook I have the option to minimize the navigation panel. (see attached file)
I was wondering if this option also is available in the RadPageView Control?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Gerben

Hi Gerben,

Thanks for contacting us and for your questions.

Currently, this functionality is not available in the Outlook mode of the RadPageView control. However, since this control is new and still evolving, we can consider it for future releases. Thanks for the suggestion.

Do not hesitate to write back anytime you have further questions or need assistance.

Kind regards,

Thanks for this information.

I have however a few other questions.
I would like to use the RadPageView as an Outlook Menu.

Is it possible to create groups? (see the marked items in outlookmenu2.png)

In the outlook menu if you don't display all the items, the items you don't display have a smaller image. (as you can see in outlookmenu3.png)
Is this possible with the PageView?

Hello Gerben,

The scenario that you would like to have will be possible with nested RadPageView controls.

As of Q2 2010 SP1 we will be releasing a new RadPageView mode called Explorer Bar. This mode supports multiple expanded pages and thus you will be able to create a group-based layout. We are going to update our online help regarding this control and you will be able to receive further information regarding this control.

I am not quite sure that I correctly understand your second question regarding the smaller icons, but we have already a control with this layout: the RadPageView's Outlook Mode. Please, take a look at our demo application, specifically the RadPageView examples.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,
