Can some one point me to the best pattern form mainting a DataModel in your tool

There are to way to creaet a model

use the Telerik Menu and do a reverse mapping Table -> Class or  add a project item 'Telerik OpenAccess Domain Model'

you can onle use one in any solution  ( is this correct or have I missed somthing ?)

what are the pros and cons of both of these approaches ?

all of the examples I have seen use the first method ie reverse mapping. why

---------

I have a reverse mapped project how do I reload the database definition WITHOUT lossing my changes

eg mark up some details and I reload the model it removes all of my changes AAAAHHH!!!!

I would have expect a merge type pattern not ALL or nothing approach or PLEASE tell me I am wrong

Hello Graham Twaddle,

You could use the merge database schema functionality of the Reverse Mapping Wizard. That is the button in the upper left corner of the wizard.
We are also preparing a new upgrade procedure that will allow a user to upgrade an existing project prepared with the Reverse Mapping Wizard to a new one that uses the new Visual Designer for OpenAccess without loosing any changes.
