I have been using Telerik Q1 2009 for some time now, and was forced to upgrade to Q2 2010 due to a performance issue when exporting to Excel large datasets from a report using a Table control

I have got the new reporting version Q2 2010 up and running, however when I run a long report, the "Your report is loading" progress message and animated gif do not display anymore, which makes the page appear to be doing nothing and the report appears to be empty as it shows the toolbar. However, after a few seconds all of a sudden the report appears in the report viewer.

Does anyone know how to get this working again so that it displays a progress message - I have checked the property in the Report Viewer and the text is there for the ProgressText property.

    Thanks!

    Hi Michael Gois,

This is a known issue that slipped into the Q2 SP1 release. We would do our best to address it for subsequent version. Unfortunately we cannot offer a workaround for the time being unless downgrading to the Q2 version if applicable for your application.

    Sorry for the temporary inconvenience.

    Thanks.
Can you please confirm whether Q2 will address the slow performance issues when working with tables and large datasets exporting to Excel. This is the reason why I upgraded to to Q2 2010 SP1.

    Hi Michael Gois,

We have made improvements to the table rendering in excel for the Q1 2010 release and additional improvement to the table's processing for the Q2 2010 release. For more information on the changes in Telerik Reporting our suggestion would be to check out the Release History

    Sincerely yours,
