If all I'm interested is replacing the MOSS default rich text editor with Teleriks in lists (Blogs, wikis, tasks, etc.), will the full features give me anything the Lite version doesn't?

Thanks

Hello Herve,

Please, review the following features comparison sheet: Compare the Full and Limited Editions
It could be helpful to decide whether to switch to the Lite or Full version of RadEditor for MOSS.

Rumen,

That's not what I'm asking. My question is specifically about SharePoint lists (e.g., blogs, wikis, tasks, announcements, etc...). Is there a difference in this specific case between the Lite and the Full Featured? (the pdf you mention doesn't address that question).

Also, I noticed that when used in Announcements, we can't used "Upload Image". So there seem to be differences even between the lists. Do you have a documentation about that?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

If you plan to use the RadEditor with its default configuration, then you only need the Lite version. It offers the all the functionality of the original MOSS rich text editor so you will not lose anything. The main advantages in the Full version are that you have access to a greater number of tools and modules. However, some of those tools (like the Flash and Media managers) are not usable in lists so you will not need them anyway.

Regarding your question about uploading images - this feature depends on the user permissions for the specific list you are browsing. If the currently logged in user has permission to create list items, then you will be able to upload new images.
