You should be able to use the CurrentItemChanging
event, however, it appears that there is an issue with the event and the item is changed event if the Cancel property is set to true. I have logged the issue in our Feedback Portal

To workaround this you can use the SelectedIndexChanged
sender, EventArgs e)
.radListView1.SelectedIndexChanged -= RadListView1_SelectedIndexChanged;
.radListView1.SelectedIndex = 0;
.radListView1.SelectedIndexChanged += RadListView1_SelectedIndexChanged;
