I am running version 2013.2.611.1050 of the controls (we may eventually upgrade to the latest version but not any time soon) and I am trying to implement a step chart which does not exist this version.

I download the sample that was posted here and it worked great initially:

http://www.telerik.com/forums/step-line-series-and-chart-view

But, there is a problem when I turn on CombineMode using the 'Stack' option.  It seems the "dummy" points added to box out the line which share the same DateStamp on the X-Axis cause the line to turn on its side so to speak.  Attached is an image of the exact same project except with CombineMode="Stack" for the line series in XAML.  It also cause the Y-Axis scale to increase which do not make the point data.

Any insight?

Thanks
Ernie

Hi Augustine,

I highly reccomend that you upgrade to the latest version of our controls so that you gain the Step Line series implementation with full support for Stack Combine Mode.
Please mind that the workaround previously povided is not an ultimate hack that will work for any scenario. It is just a hack for creating a standalone Step Line serie but we do not guarantee how this would behave when Pan/Zoom , TrackBall or Combine Mode features of ChartView are used with it.
