Hello

We use the Legacy ASP.NET Reportviewer (Q1 2015).

We are experiencing problems with low memory on the server due to large amount of reportviews/high user sessiontimeout.

Is it possible to set a ClientSessionTimeout for the legacy ASP.NET reportviewer?
If not, is it possible to disable the reporting cache?

We do not wish to migrate to the HTML5 viewer just yet.

Regards
Mark

Hi Mark,

ClientSessionTimeout setting is available only for the HTML5 Report Viewer that uses Reporting REST service - HTML5 Report Viewer and Reporting REST services.

ASP.NET Web Forms Viewer keeps the report state in the ASP.NET Session by default. Possible alternatives are provided in Configuring Cache help article.

You can also check Performance Considerations help article that suggesting ways to optimize the report's performance.
