There is nothing to visually indicate that the slider is in focus. I tried editing the template in Blend, but could not find a VisualStateGroup for the Focused/Unfocused states.

Hi Henrik,

We are planning to introduce the FocusVisualStyle (as in WPF) property for all controls so that managing this will be easier. We have had some contradicting feedback as to whether and where there should be focus elements. It seems that this should be easy enough to change.

As for the slider - I checked the code and it in fact is using the Focused and Unfocused states. It turned out that the metadata attributes that describe this for Blend are not there. This has been fixed and should be available for the SP.

If you create the states in Blend, even though it does not know that they are there, they should be used at runtime.

Thank you for your feedback once again.

I tried adding the state group and states manually, but the behavior is not quite  what I expect. LostFocus is not handled properly and sometimes the focusvisual disappears even though the slider is still in focus. This is no showstopper for me at the moment, but it would be great if you could take a look at this before the SP in december.

Best regards,
/Henrik

Hello Henrik,

I just spoke with Miroslav and he told me that he just had a look at the code but never got to test it so I appologize for misleading you. We will not be able to fix this issue for this week's internal build, but we will make sure to do it for the Service Pack 1. Let me know if you have additional comments on the matter.

Best wishes,

No problem. SP1 is ok. Can you please also adress the other RadSlider releated issue that I reported? Unless it has already been fixed, of course. This is the one I'm referring to:

Hello Henrik,

Not only RadSlider, but other our controls lack the focus visual functionality. That is why we decided to postpone RadSlider's focus visual implementation and release it with the rest of the controls, which will happen after service pack 1. As for the other issue(tabbing out of RadSlider), it has been fixed and it is available with last week's internal build. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.
