    Hello Telerik team,

as I cannot send bug reports I write it here:
When trying to send a JustCode Feedback on a machine with installed but not configured MS Outlook then Visual Studio crashes when clicking on "Send" on the Feedback form.

It is a bit annoying that JustCode overrides Visual Studio's default shortcuts like ctrl-enter and ctrl-r-r without question. Maybe there is a better solution for this.

    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi again,

obviously this kind of behavior is not interesting for you. Maybe you can tell me how I can get rid of JustCode. Uninstalling does not remove the additional menu in Visual Studio 2008.

    Regards,
    Michael

    Hello Michael,
Sorry for the late reply and sorry to hear you had bad experience with JustCode.
All Send Feedback / Send Good Code Red / etc. forms do not use MS Outlook for sending emails but use a Telerik hosted web service. Still you're right that there's a problem with the Send Feedback form causing VS to crash sometimes. We already fixed this and the fix will be available in the official Q1 build which we're about to release next week.
As for the shortcuts, I think JustCode takes Alt + Enter for the quick fixes context menu which shouldn't be reserved by some default VS commands and Ctrl + R + R for rename which covers a lot more scenarios than the default VS rename command. Could you share your experience with our rename command, do you find t lacking some features compared to the default VS command?
If you still have the JustCode menu after uninstalling JustCode, you could try to install and uninstall it again. Most probably the last time you've uninstalled it, you've had a running VS which could have caused JustCode to not uninstall correctly.
Once again, sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your feedback.

    Best wishes,
    Chris

    Hello Chris,

thank you for your kind answer. Let me go into more detail:
For the uninstallation all Visual Studio instances were closed but a document explorer was still open. The uninstaller offered to close the document explorer which I allowed.

I tried JustCode on 2 different machines. The following problem occured only on one of them: In the Visual Studio several shortcuts were automatically changed to JustCode functions but in a bad way. Ctrl-r-r did not start the JustCode Refactoring but opened the Feedback form. As I thought it could be a great time to give feedback about this I experienced the Visual Studio crash when clicking on send. Great to read that this has been fixed internally.

I tried different versions of JustCode and updated as new versions were announced. Maybe the update process caused the partially uninstalling.

There was a different problem when editing XAML files (VS 2008, Silverlight 3). Visual Studio froze suddenly when opening a special XAML-file (other XAML files still worked). Restarting VS and opening the same file immediately froze the IDE again. I removed parts of the XAML file in an external editor but could not get the problem solved. The MS tools are not entirely stable for Silverlight 3 but the issue disappeared after uninstalling JustCode. There were not any further actions inbetween.

I like Telerik products very much. Especially for there good documentation. One can find a solution or tip for almost anything. Brilliant work. If you are interested in more detailed feedback maybe there is a chance to enhance the trial period of JustCode.

    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
Thanks a lot for your feedback, it's much appreciated. We've extended your JustCode support package for additional three months.
About the problem with the shortcuts - that sounds like a really weird issue and we haven't stumbled across it so far. To restore the original JustCode shortcuts you could open the JustCode Options and then click the "Restore keyboard shortcuts". I hope this will help.
Would it be possible to send us the xaml file that causes VS to crash (you could open a support ticket). It will help us a lot.
