When I have Fiddler running and decrypting HTTPS traffic, I get an error message using the join.me app.  If I Turn off capture traffic or close Fiddler, then join.me works fine.  Why is the join.me application not working when I have Fiddler running?

Hello,

I will need more information, in order to try diagnosing the problem. Did you trust the Fiddler root certificate? If you turn off the HTTPS decryption do you see the HTTP traffic from the app? What is the error message and where you get if from?

Alexander, thanks for the reply.  The HTTPS root certificate is trusted.  All other HTTPS traffic is working perfectly with Chrome, IE, Visual Studio, etc.  The only problem seems to be the join.me Desktop Application.

Maybe it is a problem with Certificate Pinning or something.  I'm not sure how to troubleshoot.  It seems like you would be able to reproduce it by simply installing the Join.Me Desktop Application and see if it works for you with Fiddler running.

Hi,

If you turn off the HTTPS decryption do you see the HTTP traffic from the app (HTTPS CONNECT requests)? Ensure the "Capture HTTPS CONNECTs" options is turned on (Options -> HTTPS) before performing this test. Also what is the error message from the app?
