I don't know why.. but as quickly as it started happening, it has stopped...
I'm using.. Telerik 2010.1.422.1040
With VS 2010 Pro, v10.0.30319.1 RMTRel
And I can not:
1) Drag a combo box from the toolbox onto the page
2) Drag an existing combo box around a page
The errors I get are different depending on where I drag it too/from
The "viewItem is null" comes from trying to go from the toolbox, to a grid cell
On to a canvas is just silently fails
From an existing one on a canvas, to a grid cell it goes crazy and deletes all my data in the combo box, (and doesn't move it) i.e. It restores to a "default" combo box
Thou it works fine if I type it in xaml and run the page.
