Is RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX available as a downloadable msi package ?

I signed up for RADControls ASP.NET AJAX trial a couple of weeks ago. At that time I downloaded the trail installers (msi) for Q2 release. Recently, when I was notified about Q3 upgrade being available, I downloaded the Q3 trial installer with the intent to upgrade to the latest release for my evaluation.

I find that the installer is a 3 MB download and invoking the installer starts the download. This is working very slow for me. Is it possible for me to download a full msi package and use it for upgrading my trial installation from Q2 2011 to Q3 2011.

Hello Shreesh,

It is possible to download the msi package by following the steps below:
1. Log in to www.telerik.com with your account.
2. Press the "Your Account" link (on the top right corner of the site).
3. Select "Download and manage your products" link.
4. In the newly opened page select the "Download" link under RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX.
5. Under the section Other Setup Types there is a link named "Automatic installation (msi 256 MB)". This is the msi package you are searching for.

Could you please give us some more information on how do you download the msi file faster than using the installer you have mentioned.

Thank you. I did the steps you mentioned and it worked well for me.

I normally use a download manager for a faster download. Moreover, a direct download helps since it comes with a "resume download" support in case the download is disrupted due to loss of Internet connectivity or any other issue.

I am glad that the steps provided have helped you. We are currently working on improvements in the download mechanism of the Telerik installer. These improvements cover the main advantages that come with the usage of download manager. The goal is better user experience in regards to file downloads.

Hi Gaurav,

Currently the official release versions of the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX are 2013.2.717 and 2013.3.1015. There is also available 2013.3.926 version which is the BETA version for Q3 release. I suppose that TelerikControlPanelSetup_2013_2_923.exe file name mislead you for the version of the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX, which is the release version of the Telerik Control Panel. I also reviewed your download history and it seems that both 2013.2.717 and 2013.3.1015 versions are downloaded from your account.
