Since it is an items control and includes the ItemsTemplate, I was thinking I could be arbitrary FrameworkElements in the items. I tried it, and didn't get an error, but all I got for the items were the "loading" images.

Thinking about what you guys are probably doing behind the scenes to do the non-affine skew the images, I guess this is not possible, and that the coverflow is limited to images only? The docs only mention images.

Or did I simply do something wrong? :)

(FWIW, the use-case is navigating through open RadWindows in a bizapp (I have representations of them with text/icons etc.). If the control is limited to images only, I might compose one on the fly using one of the writeable bitmap implementations for sl2)

Hi Pete,

You are right that in Silverlight 2 it is not possible to do this transformation for arbitrary FrameworkElements. At this time, the CoverFlow control supports only images, but we are planning to extend this functionality with the forthcoming editions of the controls and the framework. You are getting loading images, because the CoverFlow is searching for either Image, ImageSource, URI or string that represents a URI.

If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask us.
