Perhaps this is the wrong place to ask this question, but here goes...

I have an input element with a type of 'number'.   When the user selects/enters this element it should bring up a numeric keypad.  This works great on android devices, but on iPhone  you get (basically) a full alphanumeric keyboard.  I tried to switch it to 'phone', thinking that would do what I needed, but that keypad didn't include the decimal point.  So I'm back to 'number' with an awful keyboard on the iPhone.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Oh yes, I'm using JQuery Mobile and Icenium of course.

Thanks for the prompt replies.... my boss thanks you too!

It is very close!  Now the numeric keypad shows up, but it doesn't have a button for the decimal point.  It only contains the digits 0-9.

Hello Frank,

This is what Apple considers to be a numeric keyboard and it currently does not contain decimal point. You can see quite a few users complaining of the same limitation on threads on the net.
