Hi

How does one go about removing the splash screen and/or changing it?
Using Graphite, in options for the project, there are 3 images  for iPhone. Even though there is a X on top of the images, they are not clickable.

The only option is to change them, so in lieu of being able to remove them, I have updated them.
Using a valid provisioning profile, the app is deployed to a physical device. On load, a ICENIUM splash screen is still shown (This is even if the navigator.splashscreen.hide() method is used )

Interestingly, the splashscreen does not show on the simulator but does on the device.

So questions are, how can one remove the splashscreen for a real device and/or change it.

Thanks

As a followup, I did manage to get a new logo splash screen to show. Still cant seem to remove this though.
Is it a requirement of icenium to have to show one or am I doing something wrong here?

Hi Jason,

Splash screen (or launch image as apple often refer to it) are required, otherwise your app would be rejected, see here for reference.

Hi Steve

Thanks for clearing that up. I only asked as some apps I have don't display a splash, but I guess they could have got in before this rule was imposed. Thanks anyway.

Hi Jason,

Can't really comment when the requirements have changed, but since splash screen is marked as required, we made sure your app always has some, so it is never rejected even if you forget to update them. That is the only reason, why they cannot be removed altogether.

Kind regards,
