There is a problem adding the iOS PNS dev certificate in the Telerik Platform UI under Notifications > Push Settings. The 'Set as Active Certificate' button stays disabled after uploading a .p12 cert and entering a password. I have been able to upload a production one, but the dev one always gives me problems. I remember having this issue last year also; thought it would have been fixed by now.

I upload the dev cert, enter a password, but the button never activates so I can save it.

@Corey

Thanks for reporting this.

The "Set as active" button is automatically selected (and disabled) at the time when (cumulatively) you upload a certificate (either Development or Production) and this is the only uploaded certificate. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page when ready.

Subsequently, when you upload a new certificate you should be able to set it as active and after that click Save to save the changes.

Additionally, yes, we fixed a few bugs inside this area last year. There are a few cases now when the platform may be disabled (and you need to enable it again with the checkbox) after managing and toggling the certificates. This said, I would like to offer the apologies of the team for any inconvenience caused and if the experience is not as expected.

Allow me to ask you a few details about the workflow you are following and when this occurs - can you please elaborate more on this with steps you are following and with the expected behavior? You can also illustrate this with screenshots. Let me know if you would like to make the thread private so you can safely share screenshots and similar.

I look forward to your reply.

I am also having this same trouble.  Upload the .p12, enter the password but yet the "Set as Active Certificate" fails to enable.  I have only one production certificate (marked Active), no development certificate.  How can I get this certificate activated?

My understanding is that you are trying to upload a production certificate in the settings.

If that is the only certificate uploaded, the Set as active will be disabled because the certificate is set to active automatically. You only have to click Save at the bottom of the page and that should be enough.

Can you please review my previous reply in the thread for more details and let me know the results of trying this on your side?

If the problem persists, can you provide the steps to reproduce the issue or a screenshot of the observed behavior?

Anton

I had to enter a bogus Development certificate to "fool" it into accepting my Production certificate.  Please take some time to test that.  I believe you will see the obvious bug.

Thanks for the update, glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue on your side.

I feel obliged to share some details though. It is also my understanding that the procedure may be not so intuitive as expected.

When you upload the first certificate in the iOS settings (either a Production or Development), the Set as Active button is disabled, if that is the sole certificate uploaded - it is automatically marked as Active. All you have to do is click the Save button in order for the uploaded certificate to take effect.

I tested the workflow and it works as designed (even that this is not the most intuitive behavior).

Please refer to the attached screenshot that illustrates the behavior after enabling the iOS checkbox and uploading a certificate.
