I want to develop an app that I need on 6-8 ipads. It isn't meant for the App store, but it does need to run offline. Does ION require and internet connection and can it run the same app on 8 devices at the same time or is it just for testing on one device.

Hi Rich,

Ion does not require internet connection, unless in the cases when you would want to LiveSync to a newer version of your app. Also be aware that at any given time, only a single app can be deployed to ION.

In general, Icenium Ion is a testing utility application and not a replacement for the Apple developer program. With that said Ion is not intended to be used as an application distribution channel, because it might violate Apple terms and conditions. It is a utility app that should be used during initial development only. We strongly recommend that you build and sign your applications with development or ad-hoc mobile provisions.
