I've noticed that the built-in "ScrollIntoView" method is not working! We have data bound to our RadComboBoxes and if the SelectedIndex belongs to the top portion of a long list, you click to open the RadComboBox and it's always at the very bottom of the list, regardless of what is actually selected! Granted, you can still scroll up to see that the proper item is, in fact, selected, but the automatic DropDownPopupOpened's "ScrollIntoView" must be tripping somewhere without throwing any errors.

The problem only presents itself on the original load of the control. Once the selection is changed, everything works properly.

Hi Alex,

I've fixed the same problem recently, so could you please, check if it is present in our latest Silverlight assemblies from Q2 2009, version 2009.2.701.1020? In fact, I was unable to reproduce the problem in the latest Silverlight 3 version of the controls and I don't think that ScrollIntoView contains version specific code.

Kind regards,

By the way, just of curiosity, are you going to upgrade your application to Silverlight 3? You are one of the few clients recently, that are posting Silverlight 2 tickets.

Sincerely yours,

Originally, we tried upgrading to the latest version of Telerik's controls, but had some build issues with the RadEditor, among other things, so we decided to hold off until we had time to iron out those issues.

We are in the process now of releasing our 1.0 version of our product (built for SL2), but we are planning on upgrading to SL3 for version 1.1, so we are currently investigating any issues we will have with SL3.

Good to know this bug has been fixed in recent versions. We will take the necessary steps to get a working version on our build.

Thank you!

Hi Alex,

Please, let me know if you encounter the problem with ScrollIntoView again, as there might be rare cases where it still exists. I will try to provide an internal build as soon as possible.

Best wishes,
