Hi Masoomeh,

The Telerik's RadEditor Lite for MOSS is designed to have the same features as the Native Microsoft Editor for MOSS and as you may notice both the Native Microsoft Editor for MOSS  and the RadEditor Lite for MOSS do not offer the requested functionality.

As a matter of fact, the Lite version of RadEditor for MOSS uses only the basic features of the full version of RadEditor for MOSS. More information about the differences between Native Microsoft Editor for MOSS, Lite RadEditor for MOSS and the full featured RadEditor for MOSS can be found in the following document:

Feature Comparison Sheet

Kind regards,

Hi George

I don't realy get this. Do you mean that Native and Lite  does not offert Insert Form Element options but full version of RadEditor for MOSS does?

Is full version of RadEditor for MOSS available to the market? How much?

Hello Masse,

You understood correctly - the RadEditor for MOSS Lite version is primarily intended as a cross-browser alternative to the default SharePoint 2007 rich text editor. It has limited functionality and is missing some of the normal RadEditor features.

The Full featured RadEditor for MOSS is available to all customers, who have a license for the normal RadEditor control for ASP.NET  - http://www.telerik.com/products/sharepoint/editor-for-asp.net.aspx
This means that there is no additional cost over that, which you have to pay for the RadEditor for ASP.NET. If you have a licence for the normal editor, you will be able to download the full featured MOSS version from the main RadEditor downloads page.

Hi,

We are using the full featured RAD Editor for MOSS for one of our clients who want to use "Form element". It seems to work fine, except that it does not save everything. We can add a text input and then add a name attribut to it, but when we check in the page the attribute is removed (and we need to be able to do this). I think it might be the Sharepoint html field who validates the html code and removes it somehow(?), but how should we go around this.

Best regards

Hi,

We have the same issue and received the following answer from Stanimir at Telerik support:

You can insert input elements, but if you set the name attribute, it will be stripped by the MOSS filters when you Check In To save Draft or  Publish the page. This is a behavior of Sharepoint and RadEditor has no control over it.
