I've got the editor inside of a FormView which opens in a RadWindow.  When I open the ImageManager and get to an image that allows me to use the Image Editor, I get:

this.get_editor() is null or not an object

EDIT:  This does not occur when the ImageManager is opened from a RadEditor inside a RadWindow.  In fact, that works great.  This bug occurs when the ImageManager is opened using a DialogOpener (so at least the error makes sense since it wasn't an editor that opened the dialog).

Hello Shaun,

For now the Image Editor cannot be used independently - the current implementation is an internal RadEditor's dialog and it cannot be used outside of the editor.

It is in our ToDo list to provide such functionality for the Image Editor dialog, however this will happen in one of the future updates of the RadEditor control.

Kind regards,

I'm also starting to think about this from a usability standpoint, and I'm not sure if the "average" user *should* be able to edit the images.  I can't seem to find anywhere to disable the image editor.  If I could disable the image editor, then I could also disable it for situations when the image manager is opened using the dialog opener rather than an editor.  Is there any way to do this?

Hi Shaun,

This will be included in the next editor release - you will be able to enable/disable the image editor tool from the ImageManager settings. Also, you will be able to set the suffix for the new image (currently it is "_thumb" by default).

Sincerely yours,
