I think this is related to the post on browser highlighting, but in IE 8 if you select mutliple items using CTRL, the accelerator link is shown. From a user perspective this is pretty confusing - see the attached screenshot.

Actually, we don't have any control over IE8 Accelerators functionality. Still, we'll do our best to research the case and hopefully provide any solution.
