IE problem

Hello,

I've got problems launching IE on Windows Server 2008. The browser opens, but nothing happens after it. The env is: Windows Server 2008, IE 9, Webaii 2013.2.1327.0.

Hello Heisenberg,

The error message implies that something is blocking our connection attempt to IE. How are you running your tests? Have you created your own console application? Or are you using Visual Studio or something different? Is it running at Administrator level? Our framework requires Administrator level access else Windows will block our connection as a "security threat".

I've created a console application which I run as Administrator. What else can I try to track down the problem? The app runs successfully on a dev machine (Windows 8), but fails on a server (Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise). Both OS and IE are configured according to the documentation. The server has Trend Micro OfficeScan Client installed. May it be causing the problem?

Most likely. It may be considering Test Studio to be a security threat/virus and blocking us. Usually there's a way to configure exceptions in anti-virus products.

I have an update on this issue. It turns out that if I pre-install Testing Framework on the target machine, the tests work well. What I would like to achieve, however, is to be able to copy my testing solution to a new virtual machine and run the tests. New machines don't have the framework installed, so the tests fail. Is it possible to just copy dlls, and not to run the installer on every new machine?
