We are implementing a Scrum framework in our organization and find Team Pulse usefull overall.  There are a couple of things we will need added to the applicaiton to be able to properly / fully adopt it.

We need the ability at the story list level to automatically assign the priority based on the sequence in place.  It is currently too difficult to re-assign a priority to every item when inserting a new story, particularly if inserted at the top of the list.  Perhaps this could be supported by a user driven event (button).

Also at the story level, we need the ability to assign a business value - a numeric value.  You currently have an effort estimate which is close enough to cost, but do not have a field to put business value, both of which would help us define a rough ROI value which would define the priority..

Please let me know if either of these items are on your roadmap for implementation in the near future.

Thanks

Hi Rick,

We have plans to support this scenario (or something close) in our next release (2011 R2). We are adding drag and drop sequencing for backlog items (similar to what we have currently for Bugs on the Assign screen). This sequence is user set and not driven off the current Priority field.

If this sort of sequencing works for you, perhaps then you could use the Priority field as your Business Value? I assume you want a numeric field for this? But if not, you could use the Value Classification drop down field as your Business Value.

The values available in the drop downs can be customized via XML by going to the Settings tab, click on View Settings then click on the small 'Advanced...' link located near the project template specification. Please use caution when editing these settings, and only edit them if you are comfortable editing XML.

If you need help, or have more questions feel free to ask.
